Representation is an idea of reality that is used to represent media. The ideas could be how a country is presented such as the race, culture, etc.
For example, countries like Africa, Scotland, Pakistan and Spain is all presented differently in media;
- Africa - shown poor, lack of shelter, unclean water and hunger; poverty in short.
- Scotland - the people wearing kilts, playing bagpipes, their famous landmark; Edinburgh Castle shown and full of highlands
- In Pakistan - Muslims, mosques, poverty and protests and strikes happening
- Spain - Beaches, unique buildings, bull fights and flamenco dance
- United State of America - Celebrities, wealthy, unique landmarks (for example: Statue of Liberty) and origin of fast food (Such as McDonald)

The People -White, friendly, dress stylish, posh
Weather -Cold, snow, wet, different seasons
The Food- Tea and biscuits, pastry, pies, fish and chips
Lifestyle- Posh, Wealthy, Christian, respects and loves the queen
